Research on infrared characteristics of military vehicles has important valuable applications in target detection, identification and stealth. This paper aims at research on infrared characteristics of cab and wheels of military vehicles. The distribution of temperature and infrared radiation of the cab and wheels and the distribution of infrared radiation of the cab had been analyzed. The radiative boundary conditions of the cab and wheels were solved by Monte-Carlo. By considering the influences of solar radiation, sky background radiation and ground radiation, the temperature model of cab and wheels was developed. The complicated radiative boundary conditions were solved by Monte-Carlo, and the temperature of cab and wheels was computed by finite volume method. In addition, the penetration and attenuation of every radiation inner the translucent part had been considered, and the elastic deformation energy of the rubber of wheels and the heat of friction between wheels and ground during running had been considered too. Based on the temperature model, the infrared radiation model of cab and wheels was established by considering the influences of self-irradiation of cab's and wheels' surface, the reflective radiation to the sun, sky background and ground. The distribution of the infrared radiation of the cab had been calculated. In the end, it analyzed the influences of the temperature distribution and infrared radiation distribution in different instances between physical character parameter of materials in the different environments.
