The Research On The Design And Development Of The Household Bathroom System Based On User Experience

As commodity economy becomes increasingly prosperous, consumers have more opportunities to choose satisfying products. Under such a strong influence of purchasers' economy, some large scale enterprises have to adjust the priority to the users, who have been neglected for a long time. They are engaged in researching and developing usable and enjoyable products, even those consumers are going to prefer. Professionally speaking, it is something of nice experience and memory, from developing usable products, to related added-value service, and then putting the products into use. A series of added value becomes one of the competitive edges in this age, and the key of which are users. User-centered approach of research becomes the core of development and service. We have entered an age of experience economy, with consumers as the subject to create value.Based on a typical scene of users—household bathroom, this thesis focuses on the significance of user experience to product design. There are two main threads: one is exploring the research method of user experience; the other one is discussing from the demands to the behavior of household bathroom. For the former one, market study is used to collect the information and demands of users, through qualitative and quantitative analysis. Personas design, a method of website design, is applied to this study. According to this method, I set up scenario template of visualized information of users, and then design and develop the household bathroom system based on viewable "objective and behavior".This thesis highlights fulfilling of the experience design, subdivision and establishment of objective user, and behavioral study of household bathroom. Through a series of approaches and evidence, the thesis end up with a case named "experience household bathroom". The writer proves the significance of systematical design based on user experience. And the scenario template based on objective user can promote the development of hardware and system.
