The concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) is composed of steel tuber and concrete. For its special, CFST is often applied in compressed column. CFST column is the ideal combination for steel with concrete, and the cost is economic. The theoretical research and compute application on CFST column have been matured.Based on the research achievements of the former scholars and use the "Unified Theory of CFST", the seismic performance of CFST column in the frame-tube structure (in higher and super high-rise buildings) has been further discussed. This thesis is composed of three parts as follows:1. First, the reinforced concrete (RC) column is equivalent to the CFST column in the different equivalent method. Then, the performance of the equivalent RC column in the frame-tube structure under equally earthquake had been estimated and analyzed. For the application of CFST column in the frame-tube structure, study which conditions are needed to fulfill the CFST's ductibility and earthquake-resistant superiority.2. The reinforced concrete (RC) column and CFST column of frame-tube structure are analyzed and contrasted respectively by using the program of Etabs and the infinite-element theory. Firstly, compare the differences of structural free vibration characters through the analysis of the two models. Then, the researches on the elastic and elastic-plastic behavior of the structure are done respectively by using spectrum analysis and time-history seismic analysis. The results demonstrate that the CFST frames, which are applied in higher and super high-rise building, have superiorities in load bearing, deformation behavior, dissipating energy.3. By using the static elastic-plastic analysis method (Pushover), the mechanical behavior under conventional loading pattern and the seismic damage under cyclic loading pattern of the two models are analyzed. The results demonstrate that the CFST column in the whole structure has a good seismic resistant behavior again.
