Currently, Ni-MH battery has been developed rapidly and realized industrialization for its excellent performance in the whole battery field, For meeting the requirement of the different electric equipments, we have to improve its performance continually. This paper studied the effect of additive CoPc and FePc on Ni-MH battery.We redesigned the cathode according to AA Ni-MH battery, and blend CoPc and FePc into cathode content. The result show that if 0.083% CoPc, 0.078% FePc is mixed , the properties of the battery were improved distinctly.1) Improved the overcharge performance distinctly; Charge to nominal capacity, the voltage of the battery lower than the contrastive battery.2) Improved the high current discharge performance . The voltage is higher than the contrastive battery when discharge at 1C,5C,10C.3) Improved the cycle performance remarkably . Cycle 155 times at 0.5C, remain above 80% of the rated capacity.4) Reduce the inner pressure of Ni-MH battery remarkably. The balance pressure reduces beyond 0.8MPa.And the FePc is better than CoPc.
