The actual measurement datums indicate: braceing systems usually generate thermal stress due to temperature changes. The autor carry finite analysis aiming at brace's temeraturestress caused during foundation pit excavaion process. The planer finite element method is adopted to simulate the pit excavation and the temperature changes during excavation process, by which the influence caused by braces'temperature is analysised. The bracing temperature effect of foundation pit means the result of stress balance and displacement coordination among soil, retaining wall and strut. So the factors which affect the stress balance and displacement coordination will affect the braces'temperature effect. Based on this point, the author analyzes the influence to brace temperature effect caused by soil parameter, ridity of retaining wall, excavation path, and draw some reasonable conclusions. The main conclusions include: 1.With the temperature changing, the brace will generate axial force, displacement and moment of the retaining wall and the change the soil pressure will change. When the length of the brace is very long, and the range of the temperature is very big, the axial force varis seriously. 2. Soil parameter, brace rigidity and excavation path will affect the braces'temperature effect to some extent, but the extent is different. 3. The excavation path affects the brace temperature stress highly. Different excavation path and different temperature changes will generate different results, so the temperature changes of different excavation prases should be considered sufficiently during designing process. Combining this method with paractial projects, the author verifies the rationality and applicability of the caculationg model.
