The construction of spillway excavation is a complex system. In regarding of construction technics, It is made of several recycling working procedures, including of holes drilling, dynamite filling, blowing up, excavation material transiting, slope shoring and reinforcing, etc. and its construction is involved with many aspects, such as arrangement of excavation surface, construction technics, equipment selection, transportation of excavation material, and so on. The spillway excavation system is also a subsystem of the whole rockfill dam construction system. This system is in a complex natural environment. It is closely affected by construction schedule of rockfill dam, planning of rock material fields, arrangement of transiting roads, besides it is restricted by it's own construction conditions. In order to improve the quality of project construction, reduce project cost and perform the project successfully, it is necessary to study systemically all kinds of influencing factors in the process of spillway excavation, plan various restrict relations as a whole and arrange reasonably the construction of excavation by means of adopting scientific analysis method and advanced technology.Firstly, the concept of systems analysis, the theory of system simulation, as well as cybernetics theory, countermeasure theory, queuing theory related with the construction of spillway excavation are described briefly.Secondly, the construction process of spillway excavation is analyzed systemically by introducing systems analysis theory. Based on the describing and analyzing of structure and function, inner relation of the system, a system model of spillway excavation construction is presented. Then An Object-Oriented simulation model is established and the simulating of excavation process is realized by utilizing Object-Oriented Method and computer simulation technology.Finally, the Object-Oriented simulation software of spillway excavation construction is developed with Visual C# on the platform of Visual Studio.NET . The optimization of the scheme is offered and the reasonable time limit of spillway excavation construction is demonstrated through the multi-scheme simulation in the spillway excavation construction process of Nuozhadu Project. Consequently the validity and practicability of simulation system and software are demonstrated.
