According to the aim that building strong sea-going china, it asks for scale-up port constrction, so large dry dock is requisite in order to satisfy the needs to build large sea-going flatform and vessel.There are some important technical problem never been found before during construction and running of the large docks, for example, the hydraulic characteristic of the way piping and the fuctuationg of water in the room of the dock.The further research on hydraulic problems has been made in the paper. (1) The distribution of velocity and negative pressure as well as the interaction between them are studied. The formula that calculate the best curvature radius of siphon is established to assure enough discharge of irrigation, on condition that the negative pressure on hump is safe to channel.(2) It is also studied the complicated hydraulic characteristics of the way piping including loss of water head along every channel section, the discharge of the channel, the water level in the dock room and so on. The rationality and dependability of the academic result is verifid by the hydraulic modeling experiments at the end. (3) The wave in the dock room is induced by the water flowing out of the channel, it is different with familiar methods which give birth to wave. Author makes use of Boussinesq equation to establish numerical model in order to evaluate the wave in the room of dock.
