The development of industry is making the environmental pollution more and more serious, bringing great hazard to human beings' living circumstance. Nowadays environmental protection for realization of sustainable development has become the topic of current economic development. It is necessary to monitor the pollutant on-line accurately. This paper is direct to VOCs pollutant, discussed the method of on-line monitoring gas pollutant based on NIR spectroscopy. The spectra of Olefin, Paraffin and Arene which is detected by experiment is operated and analyzed. The result indicated that detection limit of the method can meet the national standard about emission of gas pollutant.Firstly, explained basic theory of near infrared molecule absorption spectroscopy, listed influencing factor of near infrared spectra. The Lamber-Beer's Law is given, listed tenable condition of this law, estimated the liner scale of this law, explain the conception of concentration-optical path product.Secondly, the main data processing and operating method in near infrared spectroscopy is illustrated. The PLS model and MLR model are illustrated chiefly in this section also. Then the selection principle, influencing factor, and evaluating indicator of the mathematic models are generalized.Thirdly, generalized the first stage experiment; processed and analyzed the spectra data which is detected by experiment. The derivative and LS-fitting method is illustrated. The mathematic model is estabilished by MLR and PLS repectively the concentration of each kind of component in the mixture sample is estimated.the result is compared, discussed, and error analysis, deduced that minimum value absolutely can meet the national standard about emission of gas pollutant, reached the antipative goal of the research. Finally, generalized finished work, point out the shortage in first stage studies. The solution to the shortage is presented, which would provide a basis for further study.
