With the rapid development of ecomomy, road transportation takes on the characteristics of large and heavy traffic, besides, overload phenomenon is becoming common and serious.AS a result,it is more prominent and difficult to solve the problem of the wheel track of asphalt pavement. In this case, the cement pavement is increasingly used in high-grade highways for its good carrying capacity.Because the Roller Compacted Concrete set as base course can provide uniform and firm support for pavement surface to increase the carrying capacity, a systematic study on its pavement performance is carried out.First of all, the theory of particle interference is applied to perform RCC mix design. Then the orthogonal tests and analysis are adopted to determine the best indoor mixing proportion.Based on that, the paper draws the corresponding rheological model and rheological equation by applying rheology principle to analyze the rheology characteristic and workability of RCC mixture. Secondly, after the hardening ofRCC,the influence factors of its strength are studied with the method of gray relational entropy which puts forward several major factors and relative significance. At the same time, three mix proportions closer to the strength are selected to study the water stability and frost resistance of RCC.Finally, based on raw materials, mixing, transport, paving, rolling, joint processing, curing and other aspects of RCC,the plans and key points of construction quality control of RCC are drawn. The studies show RCC has good strength durability and so it is fit for the base course of freeway concrete pavements.
