The Development Study Of Corner Housing In The Contemporary Chinese Cities

Living buildings in cities of China is developing very fast and becoming the most important economic base. However, the cities are full of half baked, imperfect space. The most important factor is the number of living buildings increased continuously. They are only modes of cities increase which depend on functions of two-dimension plane. The three-dimension solid relationship between buildings and space are not considered and human behaviors are not realized and reflected. For up-to-date cities, a challenge which architects are facing is how to develop a new program providing a whole, uniform outer environmental system. Therefore, emphasis of the author studies is buildings for living, especially corner buildings. He analyses, compares and concludes the important significance of corner buildings in city space by comparing different types of corner buildings.According to existing studying methods, the author analyses the important function of corner buildings in cities from two sides. One is academic reading, the other is practical investigation. Architects from Europe and America studied living buildings earlier than us. Because development of our living buildings is later than that of developed country, a lot of advanced experiences deserve to learn. Moreover we can predict the trend of living buildings by experiences overseas. The author predicted audaciously the trend of corner housings from this angle. On one hand, the author gets to know inter driving power by analyzing history of corner housings. He estimated the development in future accurately. The existence of corner housings integrates the functions of cities, clarifies city space and makes cities more vigorous and efficient.On the other hand, many existing possibilities of corner housings are obtained by comparing their shapes. Corner housings can exist in China according to contemporary China. This paper will provide reference for developer and designer. In the end, the author tried to discuss the trend of corner housings in developing of future cities.This paper is a stake in the ground intended to engender discussions among people. It will arouse people to recognize cities and residence and create more beautiful and comfortable environment for people.
