Following the rushing development of the interconnection of WEB and requirements on data-sharing among power enterprises, the network structures include internal power enterprises and between enterprises are complicated, end-users are increasingly diversified. Traditional WEB system based on ActiveX controls or Applet cannot satisfy the user's requirement of security, ease of maintenance, as well as graphics and data sharing, and so on. Using common technology, this paper designs and implements a generic Web publishing system which does not depend on special controls and ports, can penetrate all levels of accessibility firewall. This paper uses SVG as the standard graphics formats to describe complex station graphics. The method that how to convert power graphics with specific format to SVG, how to manipulate SVG element to implement the real-time control of their values, the shape changes, even to reflect the status using animation, will be described in detail. The real-time data needed by this system will come from the EMS real-time database. This paper will use PHP as a Web server-side scripting language, use the extended functionality provided by PHP and standard C to implement our own PHP extensions. So that to give PHP scripting language the capabilities to access EMS real-time databaseThis paper will be introduced AJAX as a whole system control center, scheduling server-side scripting language PHP and client-side scripting language JavaScript, to request real-time data and fresh SVG asynchronously.Through the use of these techniques, this paper makes the system more maintenance-free, less network data flow, lower server load, and no screen blinking.Meanwhile, SVG generated by this system can be used as standard graphic interface between EMS and MIS, GIS and so on; Packaged by SOAP, the real-time data interface can even support WebService. These characteristics will no doubt provide great convenience for future system integration.
