The use of waste crumb rubber modified asphalt in asphalt pavement can promote the comprehensive utilization of discarded tires, reduce the environment pressure of "black pollution" brought in and conserve resources. It also can improve the road performance of asphalt and asphalt mixture, improve the usage quality and road life.However, it is difficult to resolve the storage stability problem of crumb rubber modified asphalt. The paper found a crumb rubber modifier and used a specific method to pretreat the crumb rubber. Study found that using this method to pretreat crumb rubber could enhance the compatibility of modified asphalt and could improve the storage stability effectively of crumb rubber modified asphalt. According to the test results, the optimum dose of modifier is 0.5%~1.0% of crumb rubber content.At the same time, crumb rubber modified asphalt is a type of new modified asphalt, it's physical and chemical properties are quite different from base asphalt. The paper used grey correlation theory to analyze the conventional evaluation index of high temperature performance, low temperature performance and temperature sensitivity. From the perspective of mathematics, the paper selected the reasonable evaluation index, and then used the index to analyze and evaluate the high temperature performance, low temperature performance and temperature sensitivity of crumb rubber modified asphalt.With the increasing of crumb rubber content, the high temperature performance had significant improvement and the low temperature performance also got improved. The join of crumb rubber improved the temperature sensitivity of base asphalt, but the effect is no longer clear when higher crumb rubber content. The modified effect is the best while Crumb rubber content is 15%. Using modifier to pretreat crumb rubber could enhance the compatibility of various components of crumb rubber modified asphalt, and so improved the temperature sensitivity and high temperature performance. The high temperature performance had improvement with the increasing of modifier dose, and the optimum dose of modifier was 0.5%~1.0% of crumb rubber content. The pretreatment of crumb rubber had little effect on the low temperature performance.
