| Because of its excellent ability of environment protection, noise decrease and pavementperformance, crumb rubber asphalt (CRA) is extensively used in America, South Africa andFrance. Some province and colleges have done a vast amount of research on crumb rubberasphalt in China, and they also have laid some CRA pavement. These project and researchindicated that crumb rubber powder can improve the performance of base asphalt remarkably,CRA pavement can protect the environment as well as increase economic efficiency.So this paper studied the influence of crumb rubber powder content, powder mesh,mixing temperature and time to the performance of CRA based on the process of preparingcrumb rubber asphalt.The result showed that except the crumb rubber powder content, anotherthree factors were interrelated: the mixing time can be considered as the function of mixingtemperature, and mixing temperature is partly laid on the power mesh. The research indicatedthat it was irrational to pursue the minuteness crumb rubber powder, we should choose themoderate powder mesh or mix powder of different mesh together to obtain a nicercomprehensiveperformance of crumb rubber asphalt.When studied the high temperature stability, low temperature susceptibility and moisturedamage resistance of CRA concrete, we used three type of discontinuous gradation, four kindsof CRA to be compared with the base asphalt. The result showed that the influence ofgradation on the performance of CRA concrete was not remarkable, and the gradation have nodistinct law on the performance. But the CRA made a noticeable influence on the concreteperformance. Compared to the base asphalt, CRA concrete have a good comprehensiveperformance.Main innovation spot: introduced the interrelation of crumb rubber asphalt mixing time,mixing temperature and powder mesh; put the crumb rubber powder of different meshtogether to obtain CRA of nicer comprehensive performance; used powder of different meshto study the CRA concrete performance. |
