Using crumb rubber to preparation for modified asphalt, namely after smashing waste tire by mechanism approach, is added into asphalt, preparing for modified asphalt in the way of high speed shearing machine under high temperature. According to different types of matrix asphalt selected, preparation for excellent modified asphalt requires rubber of different meshes as well as appropriate additional dosage. The largest oil-producing in China, Xinjiang, and asphalt is a product in the process of crude oil, is abundant in asphalt. The waste tire exposed in air for a long time is regarded as a kind of pollutant. As a result, it is an effective way as an integration between environmental protection and resource recycling for waste tier to prepare for modified asphalt. The waste rubber selected by the paper is home to Hubei Hedeli Company, which can be got by high-temperature smash.The main research content of this paper is divided into three parts. Firstly, testing segregation value through different meshed of modified asphalt with crumb rubber, the optimal rubber mesh can be confirmed on the standard of minimum segregation value. Secondly, under the confirmation of the optimal rubber mesh, to select different modifiers further prepare for better-performance modified asphalt products with crumb rubber. Finally, this paper has a preliminary discussion on the combined mechanism between rubber and matrix asphalt. The preparation condition of modified asphalt is that stiring it 3 hours at the temperature of 175℃, the speed of 7000r/min and 1hour and 175℃.The experimental result can be concluded in the following:Selecting 70#、90# and 110# matrix asphalt from Karamay, on the standard of the minimum segregation value, can be obtained that the optimal rubber-mesh combination of these matrix asphalts are properly the 60 mesh and 80 mesh in accordance with 1:1 mixture of quality with waste-tire rubber.By orthogonal experiment, all factors of influence on Karamay performance of 70# modified-asphalt in comprehensive way can be theoretically obtained these four the optimal dosage of additives: 4% desulfurization rubber, 2% SBR, 1% asphalt modifier and 10 g water alcohol with silicone coupling agent. The optimal-dosage proportion of these four additives for preparation for Karamay 90# modified asphalt with excellent performance is: 4% desulfurization rubber, 6% SBR, 1% asphalt modifier and 20 g water alcohol with silicone coupling agent. The optimal-dosage proportion of these four additives for preparation for Karamay 110# modified asphalt with excellent performance is: 3% desulfurization rubber, 5% SBR, 1.5% asphalt modifier and 16 g water alcohol with silicone coupling agent; Through experiment, the minimum of segregation value for 70 #, 90# and 110# Karamay matrix asphalt can reach to 0.7 ℃,0.1 ℃ and 1.7 ℃,which proves that storage stability of modified asphalt can be improved and high-temperature storage issue can be handled; By experiment, the low-temperature performance and temperature sensitivity of modified asphalt will be improved respectively.Through the thermo gravimetric analysis of matrix asphalt and modified asphalt, it can be obtain that rubber can not improve the thermal stability of asphalt. The extraction of four components of Tahe 90# matrix asphalt, which can be obtain the maximum gravity-temperature four components respectively: 457℃ bituminous, 366℃ saturates points, 451℃ aromatic points and 453℃ colloid. The light-component content in matrix asphalt has an influence on the maximum gravity temperature of asphalt; the more light-component content, the lower temperature of the maximum gravity. In the way of infrared spectrum analysis method, Tahe petrochemical 90# matrix asphalt aromaticity is higher than Karamay petrochemical 90# matrix asphalt of aromaticity, the mixture of matrix asphalt and crumb rubber produces the rupture and recombination of chemical bond, namely the asphalt in the process of using modified asphalt with rubber has a chemical reaction with rubber.
