The increasingly severity water eutrophication caused Cyclops propagation excessively in some water sources, especially in reservoirs and lakes. Cyclops couldn't be effectively killed by conventional disinfection due to its stronger resistance to oxidation. This problem not only obsessed people's daily life and work, but also took danger into our drinking water, and even become intractable in city water treatment's field. This paper mainly analyzed cooperation of preoxidation and traditional water treatment process to remove Cyclops as to provide an effectively, fleetly and economically scheme which would be useful for settling Cyclops problem in drinking water. The main research included the following parts: Select proper oxidants and seeing about the effect of Cyclops removal by oxygenation or traditional water treatment techniques. Do across coagulation experiment to find out which factors affect the efficiency of Cyclops removal by coagulation most. See about the effect of Cyclops removal with cooperation of oxidants (chlorine and chloramine) and three types of coagulants (ferric sulfate, ferric chloride and aluminium sulfate), under different milling intention programs to find out the optimal coagulant and dosage. Analyze the determinant and variational trend of Cyclops removal rate. Based on the variety of pH, turbidity and potassium permanganate exponent, we found out the effect of preoxidants to routine water quality after coagulation and sedimentation. Select two groups of optimal parameters to carry through cooperation experiments. Compare the effect of Cyclops removal with single oxidation and cooperation to provide an economical and effective Cyclops removal scheme for drinking water factory. The results showed that the concentration of preoxidants was the crucial fator to remove Cyclops. The Cyclops removal rate was 81.63% under single traditional water treatment process. As a preoxidant for Cyclops removing, chloramine had advantage to chlorine. When the dosage of ferric chloride was between 30~40mg/L, we could obtain the highest efficiency for Cyclops removing rate in experimental condition. Higher milling intention made for higher removing rate. When the dosage of chlorine was 2.0mg/L,the Cyclops removal rate was about 70% under the single oxidation, while it reached 100% in cooperation method, showing the advantage of cooperation.
