In the future high-tech battlefield, to ensure the successful completion of field operation and minimize loss of life, it is necessary to carry out the first aid. Armed forces would be facing more difficult tasks and more tough surroundings. To provide the hand hygiene and reduce the risk of infection, the paramedics must scrub up before the operation. Thus, the characteristics of medical equipments, such as easy-to-use, rapid-to-open, safe-to-operate, easy-to-deposite and transport, etc., were very important to the field hospital. In view of this, we developed the portable field electric constant temperature handwash basin.Based on the integration of mechanics and electrics (Mechatronics), combined with A/D, automatic water-feed and constant temperature were realized by low voltage relay and Single-Chip computer. By adopting a new folding structure and selecting special material and technique, the product became more portable. The packing was convenience of transportation in order to meet the first aid demand in battlefield.The handwash basin had being used experimentally in some military medical units, by general admission, it was portable, easy and safe. The product could disinfect the hands of medical and nursing staff of field hospital and decrease postoperative infection effectively, meet the decontamination needs and increase the treating and curing rate in battlefield.
