With the rapid development of Marine Industry, the number of ships has been rapidly increasing, along with the bigger ship size and higher ship speed, which caused important water channels more crowd and more wrecks, and threatens navigational security. At present, marine environment protection is paid more attention from the world, how to reduce the numbers of maritime accidents becomes the key point.In China, Geographic Information System (GIS) got be applied extensively, on the other hand, BeiDou satellite system is improved gradually. We have had the ability to use advanced technology, such as electronic, information, communication technology, navigation positioning technology etc, to construct Ship Monitoring system. Based on BeiDou satellite navigation positioning system, the thesis develops an economical and reliable Ship Monitoring system for Dalian sea. The main purpose of this paper is to solve ship monitoring and intercommunication, and build a comprehensive ship administration system for ship monitoring, navigation, and alarm using the navigation positioning and intercommunication of BeiDou. Ship monitoring center gets the position of ships through satellite signal receive-send equipment on the ship and BeiDou satellite system, and shows its orbit on the electronic sea map. Then the aim of ship positioning and ship state monitoring will be realized.This paper focuses upon the design of software subsystem of the ship monitoring system. The system adopts SQL Server2000 database as the development platform, and Visual C++ as a development tool to realize the whole system. Function integration is realized by MapObjects.Given its unique advantages of satellite communication technology, the application of BeiDou satellite system in ship monitoring is expatiated in the paper. With the development of satellite communication technology, its application to the ship monitoring trade will be broadened. |
