Study On Comparing The Urban Spatial Morphology Of The Central Cities In Hebei Province

Study on the urban spatial morphology is the branch of urban Planning, researching on urban origin, development and influence factors from the perspective of space. It sums up the general rules of urban development by studying development process and its spatial morphological differences through different era, different levels of development, different cultural backgroundStarting with the development of urban space, this article firstly introduces the basic theory and latest research achievements of urban spatial morphology. Then, it makes an empirical analysis of 11 central cities in Hebei province and compares them by the historical context, economics and urban space layout, and puts forward the concept of urban spatial strength by collecting useful data and using mathematicalmethods to establish model. It describes cities from three aspects------compactrations , shape indices and urban spatial strength, and using qualitative and quantitative methods to make analysis and comparison. At the end of this article, it makes recommendations response for the future development of 11 central cities in Hebei province.
