With the acceleration of China-urbanization, the requirement of land is urgent thanever, the rapid expansion of the city led to the unique phenomenon called emergenceof "urban villages": the urban-rural border area surrounded by urban sprawl. Insteadof being completely urbanized, the original area still existed in the shape of ribbon ordot, The developed areas are particularly obvious, such as the Pearl River Delta.Problems have cropped up such as a large number of foreign population beingaccommodated in urban village, and the environmental problems were follow.Inestimably, the city has rapidly expanded, and most cities have urgent requirementto face and solve the “urban villages” problem. Although the phenomenon isparticularly, it brings similar problems that can be attributed to: high-density buildings,lacking of infrastructure, poor landscape environment, law system is far from perfect.In most cases, the way of fundamental transformation is demolished-renew: thevillagers were driven out. This kind of transformation caused the demise of theoriginal urban fabric. Based on this, author try to study the possibility of urbanvillages and gradual transformation strategy from the urban space aspect, which focuson specific urban villages-culture and renew it, in addition to provide anotherpossibilities of the urban villages-transformation.
