In small tooth number difference planet-gear drive, the axial line of planetary pan is rotary movement, therefore, there need a equal–speed transmission mechanism to output the movement to a dead axle. This mechanism is also called W mechanism. Its action is carry out the equal–speed transmission between two planetary axles, that the drive ratio is 1. In order to be appropriate with the development of modern precise mechanical transmission, especially to satisfy the demand of the property of cycloid steel ball planetary transmission, the zero-clearance meshing steel ball equal-speed transmission is be developed at present. The no reverse error of the property of cycloid steel ball planetary transmission is ensured.The classical equal–speed transmission mechanism is been introduced. As the representative,the performance hole-pin and floating disk equal-speed mechanism is analyzed.According to the structure and operating principle of steel ball ring groove equal-speed transmission mechanism, its mechanical performance is studied and drive efficiency calculated formula is deduced. By using of the method of study equivalent mechanism transmission precision of this mechanism is analyzed. The transmission error and reliability calculated formula of mechanism is deduced. By the analysis of imbalance of this mechanism, the dynamic imbalance model is built. And its balance mass is calculated.Based on the structure and operating principle of cross steel equal-speed transmission mechanism, the zero reverse error of the property of mechanism is analyzed. The movement and stress is analyzed. Its drive efficiency and transmission error calculated formula is deduced. The imbalance inertia force is analyzed and calculated. Its dynamic imbalance model is built. By using of the method of part balance,it is balanced. The transmission performance of four types equal-speed transmission mechanism is synthetically compared and evaluated. That provides consummate academic basis for the study and application of equal-speed transmission mechanism. According to the practical application and the method of mechanism innovative design, the balance cross steel ball equal-speed transmission mechanism is designed. And realize the motion simulation of this mechanism. The research result provides technique support for raising the work speed of many-eccentric and precise planetary transmission mechanism.
