With the development of power electronic technology,speeds regulation by frequency variation is more and more widely applied to all kinds of fields,such as,mine and landification.That brings some new subject to power electronic and electric drive,for example,research on explosion suppression induction motor design,analysis and research on temperature field with supplying by transducer.This paper starts with design of speed regulation by frequency variation induction motor.Firstly,comparing the conventional design method with speed regulation by frequency variation induction motor,the limitations of conventional design method is pointed out.Through design of a 40 kW speed regulation by frequency variation induction motor for mine,the method for selection on specified operation point,the parameters of motor that require the mechanic load is proposed.Due to speed regulation by frequency variation induction motor operating on different frequency,overload rating of induction motor is different too.Thus,the multiple of breakdown toque on different frequency is calculated. The effect on performance of the motor with different height of air gap is analyzed.The steady state performance of the motor is calculated and the results match the situation of engineering.Aiming at the design of explosion suppression speed regulation by frequency variation induction motor,the temperature field is simulated.Through the calculation results,the 2D heat exchange model is proposed.The boundary condition is analyzed. Using the finite element software Ansoft,the eddy loss of speed regulation by frequency variation induction motor is calculated.Using the fluid theory of similarity,the calculation method for coefficient of convection heat exchange on the surface of stator and rotor is given.The plots of temperature field of the windings on different frequency are obtained and the results is analyzed. From the results of simulation,the differences of explosion suppression speed regulation by frequency variation induction motor of temperature field on different frequency are analyzed.It provides the design considerations for explosion suppression speed regulation by frequency variation induction motor and has some reference values.
