City is the concentration of social civilization, then with ancient origin, historic cultural city is precious wealth of humankind, reflecting the venation of society development. China has over 5000 years' history and culture, where there are many historic cultural cities. But in resent years, as the development and expanding of the cities in China, the cultural heritage, historical environment and urban characteristic are to the degree impacted and destroyed. With acquiring success of economy, more and more people have realized that the city is not completed without cultural connotation such as the life without soul and spirit. Therefore, Protecting and continuing the humanism environment of the historic cultural cities become more and more impendency.Human scenery is a product including several cultures. It reflects and marks one country, one nation or one region's the level of culture and the degree of civilization. It is a core element of the historic cultural city's landscape. Chapterâ…¢have set out basic principles of the conservation of human scenery in historic cultural city and sum up several means of conservation.The second part (chapterâ…£, chapterâ…¤)is focused on the discussion of the culture,with the Landscape architecture for scenic spot of Yueyang Tower Hunan which the author have engaged in person from July to November 2006 as an example, and expounds how to conserving and creating human scenery in historic cultural city in the practice of Landscape architecture.This research had explored and summarized several principles and means of it through collecting a large number of relevant document,conducting on-the-spot investigations, uniting various subjects knowledge, such as Landscape architecture, Urban design, Architecture, City planning, Human geography, Aesthetics, Landscape ecology, etc. The hope is which it will be helpful to offering some revelation for the work to conserving and developing the historic cultural city.
