Common rail system is the advanced technology of modern electronic control system of diesel engine. Common rail system not only enables the diesel engine to meet the increasingly strict emission criterion, but also enhances its economic efficiency and comfort. The fuel injection quantity and fuel injection rate of the high-pressure common rail injection system are accurate controlled by high-speed electromagnetic valve. The oil inlet and oil out let of the high-pressure variable pump and the high-pressure injector are adjusted and controlled by high-speed electromagnetic valve, so the performance of the common rail system is depended on the properties of the high-speed electromagnetic valve. The whole high-speed electromagnetic valve is constituted by two parts: the valve body and the high-speed solenoid, which is the key part of the whole valve.Taking the high-speed proportional solenoid for the high-pressure variable pump of common rail system as the object, using the method of theoretical calculations, computer simulation and experimental analysis, this thesis researches the structural design and performance optimization of the high-speed proportional solenoid. This paper established a dynamic mathematical model of the high-speed proportional solenoid and analyzed it with the FEA software. The paper analyzed the coupling relationship between the structural parameters of the solenoid and its integral performance, summed up the high-speed proportional solenoid's optimal design principles. Then succeeded in developing a high-speed proportional solenoid sample based on the theoretical calculations and the simulation analysis. The experimental study on the sample showed its performance could meet the demand of the high-pressure variable pump of common rail system.The main content of this thesis could fall into six chapters as the followings:In chapter 1, the history and current research status of common rail system and proportional solenoid are introduced based on a lot of the publications and conference papers. Consequently, the goal of research and project are brought forward.In chapter 2, in-depth analysis of the static and dynamic control characteristics of the high-speed proportional solenoid, and derived a dynamic model of one-way stroke controlled proportional solenoid.In chapter 3, structural design for the high-speed proportional solenoid through theoretical calculation. An overall analysis of soft magnetic materials was provided to sum up a theoretical basis for material selection.In chapter 4, the simulation model of the high-speed proportional solenoid was established with electromagnetic fields with finite element analysis software, the related static and dynamic simulation were also analyzed. Then established simulation models with different soft magnetic materials, their characteristics of simulation results were compared for the purpose of analysis of the various advantages and shortcomings of different materials.In chapter 5, experimental research on the sample of the high-speed proportional solenoid, the experimental results and the related analysis demonstrates its conformity to the theoretical research.In chapter 6, some conclusions in this thesis were summarized and the future research proposals were suggested.
