DC proportional solenoid is the most common key electric-machine converter component in electro-hydraulic proportional valve. Its characteristics directly affect the working performance of electro-hydraulic proportional valve. This study take a comprehensive simulation calculation and analysis on the impact of which the material, structure and size of the key components have on static characteristics and dynamic characteristics of proportional solenoid, using finite element simulation software Ansoft by taking proportional solenoid used in common hydraulic valve as the research object. Furthermore, this paper also investigates the solenoid of a company through simulation and experiments. The results of the simulation are verified by experiments.The main contents of the study are as follows:In chapter one, the background and significance of the study investigating the static characteristic and dynamic characteristic of proportional solenoid was presented. Research status on the design and optimization, and the simulation and test of the static characteristic and dynamic characteristic of proportional solenoid home and abroad was summarized. In addition, the classification and research status of magnetic materials were introduced.In chapter two, the structure and working principle of proportional solenoid, the basic knowledge and basic theory of electromagnetic field, and the common methods for proportional solenoid were introduced. Steps of simulation on proportional solenoid static characteristic using finite element simulation software Ansoft were described in detail. Furthermore, finite element simulation model of proportional solenoid was established.In chapter three, some factors such as armature magnetic materials, geometry and structure, magnetic isolation ring length and back magnetic isolation angle size, coil installation position, armature structure and size, and magnetic isolation piece structure that influence proportional solenoid force-stroke characteristic was analyzed by using Ansoft. Besides, this study established solenoid experiment system to simulate and study on the solenoid of a company. The findings revealed that the simulation results were consistent with the experimental results. Thus, simulation which was conducted by using finite element simulation software Ansoft proved reliability. Therefore, the static simulation results concluded by this paper are of great significance for engineering practice.In chapter four, steps of simulation on proportional solenoid dynamic characteristic using finite element simulation software Ansoft was described in detail. Time characteristic was presented. Magnetic fields variation with time was simulated by using Ansoft., meanwhile, some factors such as coil voltage, coil resistance, coil inductance and armature materials that influence electromagnetic force-time characteristic, coil current-time characteristic, armature position-time characteristic and armature velocity-time characteristic was analyzed.At last, the research work and results in this study were summarized, and the contents for constant perfect and further study were discussed.
