As new measuring instruments, electronic current transformers(ECTs) and electronic voltage transformers(EVTs) have been rapidly developed in recent years attributing to their remarkable advantages:smallness, lightness, no ferromagnetic saturation, wide band and compatibility with interfaces of microprocessor based protection.The IEC standards have furthered the progress of ECTs/EVTs development. The important component of electronic transformer's digital interface——merging unit presented in this thesis. The merging unit's functional characteristics were analyzed in this thesis. And a new DSP and FPGA based method was given according to merging unit's characteristics. Combining the high speed and parallel processing of FPGA and the flexibility of DSP, the function of synchronization of merging unit, data receiving, data processing and Ethernet communication were realized in merging unit. Since FPGA is based on module design idea, the system was divided into several modules and they could be implementted in parallel. So the function of pulse per second acquiring and judging, sending sync signal to the A/D converter, serial data receiving, serial data converting into parallel data, merging unit's status message dealling, data transferring between DSP and FPGA were realized in FPGA. DSP has high performance processing capabilities. So the the function of Ethernet communication, data dispositiong were realized in DSP. The method has met the high speed and reliability needs of the electronic transformer. The author also made researchs on electromagnetism compatibility for merging unit. At the end of this thesis, the method experiment the merging unit was introduced, and the experiment results were also presented. Meanwhile a brief analysis of the experiment results was given to verify that this scheme is available. |
