Prestressed reinforced concrete structures are the most popular structures at present. The main shortcomings of these structures are the corrosion of the steel bars. Many countries have spent much money on it. The best way to solve the problem is to build new structures reinforced by fiber reinforced plastics (FRP).FRP is a modern composite material with characteristic of high tensile strength, light weight, good resistance to corrosion. So it's a perfect material for reinforced. But it's transverse strength is very low, so the first thing is to design a new kind of anchorage especial for FRP tendons.On this paper, we do the experimental researches and finite element analysis on the anchorage systems used for FRP tendons.First, the paper gives a summarization of the existing anchorage systems for FRP tendons. Then it introduces the results of some relate experiments, analyses the advantages and disadvantages of the anchorages, points out the way to design new anchorage system.On the basis of analyse, we bring forward an idea about a new kind of anchorage made of special concrete, and make a design for this anchorage system. We do some researches on this kind of concrete used for the anchorage system, it's called ultra-high-performance concrete. For this ultra-high-performance concrete, some theoretical analyses have finished, and some experiments about it have been done. Then we made a new anchorage using it, and experiment about this anchorage has been done to testify the feasibility of the anchorage system.At last , an contact analyze about the anchorage using finite element software–ANSYS has been done ,the stress condition of each component of this anchorage system has been researched and the dimension of the anchorage has been optimized by parameter design .and this paper points out that FEA is a good method for contact analyze.The work of this paper is primary and there still are many work to do, but it gives a new idea about FRP tendon anchorage system, especial for non-metal anchors. It can give some references for the future research.
