Corrosion is considered as an important influence factor in the whole life of ship. Corrosion results in a quantity loss of the plate material as well as a significant degradation of the ultimate strength of the hull. So the buckling strength of the ship structure with corrosion damnification will directly impact the safety of the ship structure. At present, the ship hull plate with uniform corrosion is dealed as uniform reduction, and they are almost empirical formulas. Different formula has different result. Towards the complicated pitting corrosion, there is no determinate evaluation method for optional vessels. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a buckling strength estimation for ship hull plate with uniform corrosion, and to select a method of buckling strength estimation for optional ship with pitting corrosion. A relevant integrated software for practical project is also exploited.This thesis expand the correlation theories of plate stability, and analysis some fundamental assumption in buckling strength of the ship hull plate analysis. This thesis raises that the buckling strength is relative to the board flexility and different load proportionality coefficient, and get the buckling strength compute formula whit them from the finite element date. At the same time, this thesis selects an appropriate buckling strength estimation method for the optional vessels with pitting corrosion.Then, this thesis introduces the development method of buckling strength estimation for the ship hull structure. Though the object-oriented method, this thesis carries on the system design, and compiles an integrated software system, which contains three-dimensional model display, database administration, buckling strength estimation and estimation result play.Lastly, this thesis introduces the implement method for the key technology of ship hull buckling strength estimation, and realizes the method of display, redrawing and control of 3-D model in the VB.NET and OpenGL by reading model file. At the same time of model displaying, the geometrical information of evaluation will be got. The program also gives the display of visualization nephogram for buckling estimation result, completes the database design and administration, and realizes the function for creation, inquiry, modification and deletion of database information.
