| Jacking frame is of great significance in the jacking system of jack-up platform. As a large-scale complicated offshore steel structure withstanding heavy load, the strength property of jacking frame is very important to the safety of the whole platform. The possibility of failure caused by yield is considerable under the heavy load as high as thousands of tons. It is necessary to check the strength of the jacking frame to ensure its safety.In this paper, with the finite element software ANSYS and its parameter design language APDL, the static analysis under storm holding of the jacking frame of a project designing a 300 feet jack-up platform by academy of Liaohe Oilfied&DUT is performed and the displacement and stress distributing of the structure is researched. Furthermore, several suggestions are proposed to improve the structure according to the analysis of calculating results. The results can be utilized as reference in further detailed design of the jacking frame.The disposal of complex load is also researched in the paper. In addition, the methods of connecting 3-D solid elements and shell elements are researched in depth, from theory to actual application. After analyzing the results of adopting different solid-shell connecting methods to calculate the example, the advantages of each method,as well as the application scope and using skill, are discussed respectively. And based on the research result, two kinds of solid-shell connecting methods are utilized and combined in modeling the jacking frame. The research in this article can be reference to some extent in FEA of large-scale complicated structures, especially those withstanding complicated load and related to the connection of several kinds of elements. |
