With the development of economy and deepening of electric power industry restructuring,the competition mechanism has been introduced in the electricity market. The cost of reactive service has not accounted for separately in the traditional integration electric power industry, but in the market environment, reactive power as a service needs independent accounting. It involves each aspects of the power system, such as power generation, transmission and distribution, each of them can provide different forms of reactive power service. Account the actual cost of reactive service and formulate rational price of reactive power is very important. It is a necessary condition to ensure transmission trading complete smoothly, and the reactive service providers can make a profits, and the market development health.Based on the research of active power tracing algorithm, this paper studies the lossless network, reactive power tracing algorithm and the related problems and discusses a fair and reasonable allocation method of reactive power cost. The concrete content includes the following:â‘ This paper introduces the concept, principles and classification of calculation algorithms of power flow and compares the advantages and disadvantages of each algorithm and then introduces the applied range of each algorithm. The model of existing power flow algorithms has been in-depth analysis and the analytical model of the active power tracing algorithms has been described in detail, and also the proportional sharing principle, downstream distribution matrix and calculation steps of active power flow tracing. A power flow tracing program coded in C++ has been achieved and applied to IEEE14-Bus system, IEEE30-Bus system and a practical power system. The results proved that the program works well.â‘¡Because the power system exists power consumption, the actual power network should convert to lossless network. Based on the analysis of the reactive power supply and reactive load in power system, the equivalence algorithm of branch power flow is proposed. The algorithm changes the branch admittance into equivalent reactive power supply and the branch power loss into equivalent virtual load in order to form a lossless network.â‘¢This paper proposes an efficient analytical model and its algorithm for tracing reactive power flow (TRPF) base on the model of tracing power flow and the characteristic of reactive power flow. The main advantage of the proposed method is that the matrix theory is used to directly analyze the TRPF model and no assumption (such as proportional sharing principle) on the flow distribution is needed. It means the reactive power distribution from generator to load and form generator to line can gained just form the downstream distribution matrix. The example with IEEE14-Bus system, IEEE30-Bus system is given to demonstrate the accuracy and the validity of the proposed method.
