From it is generated, industrial X-ray testing technology is widely used in machinery industry, petroleum industry, transportation, shipbuilding industry, nuclear industry, aerospace industry. And it is playing important role for ensuring the product quality. With the developing of modern industry, high speed, high precision and high reliability are remanded to the testing device. Besides, great labour, low efficiency, high cost and be harmful effect on human health are the main problems. And this is also the developing directions of industrial X-ray testing technology.In the military industry, reliability and security are concerned the weapons' performance. The possible defects such as cracks are the serious hidden dangers. Barrel is an important part of gun. When bullet is emitting, the barrel is supported strong compressive stresses and thermal stresses. So it needs the material without any defects.If there are excess defects in the part, it may be ruptured under much stresses.The aim of this dissertation is to study the testing principle and testing technological parameters,to design a test scheme and to develop an industrial x-ray non-destructive device which is used to barrel part. And then designed the mechenical structure of the device and the hardware of the control system.The device has the advantages of high efficiency and detection rate. The main content is as follows:â‘ Firstly, I studied the structure of gun barrel and the impossible defects. Secondly designed the detection scheme for the part by comparison and designed the test scheme which have five freedoms. It can gain more detail data.Thirdly, in this dissertation studied and summaried the basic knowledge of radiation imaging NDT and the testing technological parameters. The testing technological parameters includes the focus size of X radiographic tube, the amplification, the intensity distribution of X-ray, the focal length, unsharpness and so on. Then clarified the functions of the technological parameters in testing process. The detection scheme designed and testing technological parameters choiced can all improve the detection rate of the internal defects.â‘¡I particular designed the mechanical structure. And I finished it in two aspects. The first one is the integral structure.It exprsses the relationship of structures. The second one is the detailed structures, including X-motional structure, Y-motional structure and so on. After that, the preliminary testing platform is formed. Finally, I finished the the three dimensional parameter modeling and virtual assemble in the software UG.â‘¢I designed the hardware of the control system. First, I designed the total control system. This solution adopted the hybrid control system of PC and single chip microcomputer. Second, I designed emphatically the control system based on single chip microcomputer. In order to improve the success rate and flexibility of the structure, adopted standardized and modularization circuit.
