Based on the vertical flow and net filter function of the sand and gravel at the bottom of the riverbed, the riverbed water infiltration technology can convert surface river water to underground streams beneath riverbed, and draw groundwater out of surface through the water lane and catchment shaft constructed in the bedrock under the river bed. It is an integrated patented technology of water collection and water purification, as well as a new water treatment technology using natural riverbed as filter bed.Water-source heat pump air-conditioning system is strongly recommended as a national energy-saving construction technique, which has been in use all over the country. Chongqing is a city which locates at the confluence of two rivers and is rich in available fresh water resources. Large quantities of buildings are distributed along the two rivers and four shores, which provides a very favorable natural condition for the application of the water-source heat pump technology. However, because the water turbidity and the sediment of the Yangtze River and Jialing River change greatly, the utilization of this technology in Chongqing is restricted directly. Therefore, in order to break the bottleneck, it is an urgent need to carry out technical research combining the riverbed water infiltration and water-source heat pump system, which has so far been the first time in our country and the world.On the basis of the careful studies of the riverbed water infiltration technology, and the practical designing and construction experience of riverbed water infiltration and water-source heat pump engineering, as well as their conjunctive application in projects under construction, the paper focuses on the research of such key techniques as the mechanism of water purification filter, the water temperature, the water quality characteristics and the prevention and control of filter blockage as well as the joint energy-saving technology. The relevant parameters of the conjunctive application of water infiltration and water-source heat pump system are also calculated. The principal conclusions are as follows:①By water infiltration, the water temperature is constant, cool in summer and warm in winter (22-23℃in summer, 16-18℃in winter), and more in favor of energy efficiency of water-source heat pump units than general surface water, as well as in favor of water-source heat pump units of large temperature difference; ②By water infiltration, the water turbidity is less than 1NTU. The water quality indicators, such as pH, conductivity, COD, BOD, TOC, NO3 etc., can fully meet the demands of the water-source heat pump units. Meanwhile, the desanding, the sedimentation, the filtration, and other water treatment processes can be saved;③Large-scale infiltration filter tests show that: the appropriate conditions of riverbed water infiltration are plenty of river flow, water flow rate being more than 0.1m / s, large enough natural filter whose sand and gravel thickness is not less than 3m, and a certain speed of vertical infiltration;④With the operation of the project, the filter surface mud membrane will produce a small blockage. Under the flow erosion, the silting surface mud membrane will constantly fall off, be destructed and renew. Although the blockage is at a very slow speed, in order to slow down the blockage speed, it is necessary to dredge regularly.⑤Through the conjunctive use of riverbed water infiltration and water-source heat pump system, the total water consumption of the joint units can be reduced. 30% of the electricity consumption and 70% of the construction land can also be saved, compared to water source heat pump system which draws water directly from the surface. The resource can be reserved to the fullest extent in this way. It has a good prospect of application and extension.
