Stroke seriously endangers human health because of high morbidity, mortality and disability. Patient with some diseases caused by stroke such as paralysis of limbs, muscle cramps, depression, aphasia and so on will not only have a tremendous impact on patient physical and mental health, reduce their quality of life but also bring a heavy burden to social and family. Existing research shows that comprehensive rehabilitation combined with some various therapies means can be satisfied with the results of rehabilitation.With the increasingly growing maturity and extensive application of the embedded technology in biomedical engineering, and the developmental trends of medical equipment are small, portable. This paper analyses the results of issues at home and abroad in the field of neurological rehabilitation theoretical at the moment, a portable stroke comprehensive rehabilitation therapy based on ARM/Linux has been researched and developed in light of stroke rehabilitation therapy instrument deficiencies. The therapy instrument which provides stroke patient new rehabilitation equipment based on bio-feedback uses the EMG triggered neuromuscular electrical stimulation as the main treatment means and cerebellar nucleus stimulation (FNS) as the adjuvant treatment means. It has a positive role to the stroke patients for motor performance recovery, brain protection and post-stroke depression. It has an important practical significance that it not only meets the needs of the medical equipment in the technology trends, but also has made contributions what the comprehensive and portable development of stroke rehabilitation therapy equipment.The main contents in this paper are the software system development and design of stroke comprehensive treatment therapy based on the embedded Linux operating system. The system model has built by unified modeling language, and expounds the software system analysis and design process. Qt/Embedded has used to achieve the development of graphical user interface design, the three interactive visualization treatment modalities automatic, manual, cycle have researched and designed, and provides electrical stimulation and biofeedback physical therapy combination of psychological therapy treatment a software platform. At the same time completed the self-inspection system, parameters setting, and real-time processing, display and treatment functional modules. In order to evaluate the therapeutic equipment for the patients with stroke paralyzed, a preliminary experimental clinical rehabilitation has done with the equipment. The results show that the treatment for stroke paralysis with a definite therapeutic effect with no significant side effects, but also non-invasive, convenient operation, interactive features etc. The new treatment equipment can be provided for the stroke patient motor performance rehabilitation.
