There is still a shortage of theoretical studies on frame-supported short-leg shearwall structure, though it has been widely applied in present projects. Through quasi-static experiments on three inclined column-shaped frame-supported short-leg shearwall structure specimens with respectively the ratio of the width to the thickness of wall-leg ranged from 5, 6, to7 under the vertical load and horizontal cyclic load, this paper will make a comparative analysis on the results of inclined column-shaped frame-supported short-leg shearwall specimens with different ratios of the width to the thickness, and reach the conclusion that the ratio of the width to the thickness variations of wall-leg influences mechanical behavior of these specimens, the macro-phenomenon in the whole course of the experiment, and stress distribution of all the parts as well. The experiment and results of analysis revealed the stress mechanics, bearing capacity and damage shape of the transfer structure under vertical load, and its hysteretic characteristics, distortion ability, ductility factor, seismic energy dissipation and damage mechanism under horizontal load, and the seismic behavior of the inclined column-shaped transfer frame-supported short-leg shearwall structure under vertical and horizontal load. And provided some basis for reasonable design of this transfer structure in practical projects. The results of the experiment revealed that the inclined column-shaped transfer frame-supported short-leg shearwall structure has a good yield and damage mechanic, and the rationally designed frame-supported short-leg shearwall structure has a good seismic behavior. This sort of structure has a full hysteretic circle of the hysteretic loops, good ductility nature and dissipation ability, with a uniform distributed rigidity and a stable deformation nature for each layer in elastic and elastic-plastic deformation process. Along with the ratio of the thickness of wall-leg of the short-leg shearwall being enhanced, the rigidity of the structure is also noticeable enhanced, the endogen force becomes more evenly distributed and the bearing is more rational. However, when the wall-leg is stretched to a certain length, the favorable influence is no more obvious. The analysis of the three specimens shows that the short-leg shearwall with a moderate ratio of the thickness of wall-leg has the better seismic behavior.
