Because the concrete box column with small weight,high ductility,seismic performance and other advantages,so it is gradually in the structure of the new building structure system of concern.However,the related system design and Research on the seismic provisions of box column concrete performance is very few,especially the various factors affecting the change.Not much effect on concrete box column,which will affect the application of this kind of cross section in practical engineering.So it is very necessary for the study of impact section of concrete box column for the size of its seismic performance.In order to study the influence of section size change on the seismic performance of concrete box type column,this paper on the basis of the existing theory,using finite element software,combined with the main bridge pier of Huluhe bridge,design 16 model specimens.16 box reinforced concrete columns and 1 reinforced concrete solid column as the simulation object,the the finite element analysis software of the thickness ratio changes to the seismic behavior of RC box columns.The results show that:(1)the only change section size under the condition of changing the flange thickness and the thickness ratio affects the size of the bridge concrete box column performance is slightly higher than the change of web thickness and transverse thickness than the effect size for the concrete box column performance.That is along the bridge to the wall thickness ratio affects the size of the seismic performance of reinforced concrete box column is relatively large.(2)with the section of concrete box column wall thickness ratio(transverse thickness ratio or along the bridge thickness ratio)increases,the maximum load can improve the concrete box column obviously can bear.(3)section concrete box column web thickness and the flange thickness difference is smaller,more obvious for the concrete box column of plastic deformation and ductility improvement.The thickness of web and flange thickness of the gap is too large it will seriously affect the concrete box column plastic deformation capacity and ductility.(4)cross bridge concrete box column thickness ratio between 0.22~0.31,along the bridge thickness ratio is between 0.35~0.5,concrete box column has good seismic performance.And in this range,with the wall thickness ratio increases,the ultimate load of box column concrete can bear the greater.(5)concrete box column along the bridge wall thickness ratio is equal to or greater than 0.6,box column of concrete stress and concrete characteristics of solid column is similar.In this paper,through the finite element analysis combined with theoretical analysis,the influence of the change of the thickness of the wall thickness on the seismic performance of concrete is obtained,which has a certain reference value for the design and research of the concrete box column in the future.
