| In recent years, drawing cable system is becoming more and more popular in bridge configuration, such as suspender and main cable in suspension bridge, sloping cable in cable-stayed bridge and suspender in arch bridge.As an important component of suspension bridge, the healthy status of suspender directly affects the safety of the bridge. According to requirements and methods of its design, the tension and allowed stress should be confined in the range of control. Besides, the safety and appearance of the bridge is relative to suspender tension (or cable tension). But in fact, suspender tension (or cable tension) will be affected by many factors that randomly take place in the construction and use stage. And nowadays, accidents happened once in a while, many of which directly related to the healthy status of suspender.Based on the Chongqing Egongyan Bridge safety and inspection project, suspender tension calculating theory and method is researched, suspender tension practical calculating formula is deduced by using Matlab, and the exactness of suspender tension practical calculating formula is validated by ANSYS. Through vibration test and tension comparison between practical calculating formula and the designed value, the healthy status of the suspender is confirmed, which provides theory guidance for engineering practices.Firstly, measures for preventing suspender brakeage are put forward after deeply analyzing its broken status and the reason, which ensures the healthy status of the bridge.Secondly, solid model is established and the assembly is completed by using Pro/ENGINEER, which is the foundation of further mode analysis that provides its inherent frequency.Thirdly, manifold physical model to calculate suspender tension was established. And based on Chongqing Egongyan Bridge practical condition, two sides fixed string and beam combined model adopted, factors influencing suspender tension like EI and boundary condition considered, Matlab curve fitting tool utilized, suspender tension practical calculating formula was deduced. Vibration frequency method used to test suspender frequency for calculating suspender tension, via comparison and analysis of tension calculated from suspender tension practical calculating formula and the designed value, the exactness of suspender tension practical calculating formula was validated.Lastly, considering the practical situation of the bridge, vibration frequency for suspender tension formula is acquired by vibration test. Via comparison and analysis of tension between suspender tension practical calculating formula and the designed value, the healthy status of the suspender is confirmed. |
