In this paper,a steady-state mathematical model is established according to thermodynamic principles of a certain turboshaft engine with an interstage turbine burner (ITB).The interstage turbine burner as a secondary combustor whitch is located at the gasturbine and the free turbine .Base on the structure and component characteristic of this engine,a computer program is built,and calculate the performance on-design point and the characteristic performance for altitude, velocity, temperature and speed.Compare to data of the base turboshaft enging, the results calculated is accure.The calculating result shows that the interstage turbine burner improves the power of shaft and the specific fuel consumption .Through the sfc is increase,it is much smaller than that of power of shaft.In a word , turboshaft engine benefit from an interstage turbine burner.
