This thesis analyzes the structures of HEV's power coupling. Aimed to improve regenerating energy efficiency, a double clutches hybrid electric vehicle is designed and main parts of the power train are calculated. The matched energy control strategy is also presented. The electric clutch structure is designed. Further more the rule of electric clutch combining and control strategy is established. Finally the electric clutch is simulated in Simulink.The recent level of the hybrid electric vehicle and power coupling structures in the world are analyzed and completed. A double clutches power train is designed .The parameters of the main parts are computed based on the vehicle's power performance.By comparing the different energy control strategies applied on hybrid electric vehicle the baseline control strategy is adopted and the control parameters are decided. A control flow chart is given.Based on research on energy loss in regenerative braking, the essential of double clutches power train is proved. For cost reason we chose a clutch existed and design service system so it can be auto controlled. The performance parameters and size of the clutch are calculated and ensured available.At last we establish the rule of electric clutch combination. A fuzzy PID controller is designed. The clutch control system is modeled by Simulink .The simulating results show that the fuzzy PID can perform very well.
