FOG(Fiber Optical Gyroscope) is a new type of angular velocity sensor. There are no moving and wear parts in it compared with the traditional electromechanical gyroscope. It has the advantages of high reliability, long life, small volume, light weight, low power consumption, high dynamic range, high linearity, rapid start-up and wide frequency bandwidth, so it is widely used in the field of aviation, aerospace and navigation.Because of the working principle, structure features and the influence of working environment, there is a large number of random noise in the output signal of FOG. It's an effective measure to improve the precision of measurement by the method of using digital signal processing to de-noising of the FOG signal. The traditional de-noising method is based on the theory of classic filtering, the theory assumes that the signal spectrum and the noise spectrum are not overlapped and diminish the noise out of the filter's band by setting a low pass or high pass filter. When the signal spectrum and noise spectrum are overlapped, it is hardly to obtain a well de-noising effection. Otherwise, because of the individual differences, the performances of FOG must be tested before applying. Traditional testing method is mainly accomplished manually, it is low efficiency and high workload.Aim at the problems above, the FOG performance estimation system and testing method are summarized in this paper firstly. And then the theory of time series modeling of FOG was further studied. On this basis the application of Kalman filter in the FOG de-noising is realized. At the same time, the theory of wavelet transform and threshold de-noising is further studied and the realtime wavelet de-noising method based on sliding time window is improved on the angle view of engineering application. A fast decomposed algorithm is proposed, on this basis the application of wavelet de-noising in the FOG signal is realized. These two methods are proved to be realtime and good effection through analysis and compare of many experiments.Based on the theoretical study above, the FOG testing and analysis platform project is designed. LabVIEW is chosen as the development tool and the FOG testing and analysis platform is researched and realized. The performance testing and analysis, realtime signal de-noising and the application of north seeking are realized by the platform. The platform provides an approach of FOG performance testing and analysis and has an important value of engineering application.
