UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is widely used in national denfence and civil aviation. The development of Embedded System is faced with challenge. The request for period of this develop is get shorter and the quality is get higher. In the order to resolve the low efficiency and reliability of hand code, the SCADE (Safety-Critical Application Development Environment) was used to design and develop the software of the flight control system.This paper analyses the flight control system of UAV, and gives detailed introduction to every part of it. Then draw the flow chart of the software and assign tasks to SCADE.Secondly, theory background, key concept of SCADE, and visual modeling method are presented.Thirdly, after understanding in the theory, the software of the flight control system of UAV is divided into several parts. SCADE is used to develop serial communication module, sensor data management module, remote control module and fault treatment handle module according to the demand of these module. Embeddable C code is created that is correct and certifiable to avionics guidelines DO-178B Level A. After safety and efficiency testing on the code, the advantages of this code is validated.At last, by dynamic testing and static testing on the code, it validates the correctness of design. The result of the software design and test of flight control system indicates that SCADE realizes automatization and saves the cost and time of program design greatly, and has a characteristic of high security, which is satisfied with the requests of the software design of flight control system.
