Electronic control high pressure fuel direct injection is one of the most effective methods to achieve the improvement of power, low emission and fuel economic. In order to meet the stricter emission regulation and higher power requirement of high speed heavy duty vehicle, the diesel engine application have put emphasis on development of various kinds of electronic control high pressure fuel injection system. Combined with the key cooperation project of OEM and college—development of EUP diesel engine, the EUP and real time software has been researched. The major content of the paper include:1. Simulation analysis model of EUP fuel injection system is established. The fuel injection characteristics such as injection pressure, injection rate, injection delay time under different operation conditions of EUP are analyzed. The effects of parameters such as plunger/hole diameter ratio, length ratio on fuel injection characteristics are also analyzed.2. The experimental research on fuel injection characteristics of EUP system is performed. The operation factors that may affect the fuel injection delay is tested and analyzed. The variance analysis on fuel injection delay characteristics is performed on the experimental basis. And the statistical method is applied to analyze the operation parameter’s affecting strength on injection delay time of the system. Thus the optimized calibration on fuel injection delay map and fuel linearization map is achieved. 3. Advanced platforms and developing tools as well as developing process have been adopted. With the principle of reliable design and real time multi-task method, multi-task modularizations design, safe-fail design, anti-interference design, redundancy design method is adopted in the designing of real time control software. And the test on real time control software is performed.4. Real time control software test is performed on the self-developed Hardware-in-loop bench. Simulation of Model-in-loop and Software-in-loop were performed so as to study the precision of auto-generated codes. And auto-generated codes were downloaded into the hardware by auto-code generator Targetlink. And the transformation from model code to standards C code is successfully achieved.5. The whole coltrol system is tested by the diesel engine experiments. And the overall integrated and matched experiment of the ECU、EUP and diesel engine is successfully reached.
