Along with the fast development of modern power electronics, microprocessor technology, control theory and permanent magnet materials, Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) AC servo system has accepted more and more concerns. Especially with the extensive application of Digital Signal Processor(DSP), many advanced control algorithms are able to realize, so digital and intelligent PMSM servo system becomes advanced hot topics now, and its developmental trend is inevitable. This paper is aiming at vector control of digital PMSM AC servo system, and its main contents as follows:The structure of PMSM is studied further. The mathematic model of PMSM are established according to coordinate transformation. Then, the theory of vector control is discussed and the control strategy of id = 0 is determined.The engineering design methods of current regulator and speed regulator are given in detail. The MATLAB simulation model of PMSM based on vector control and SVPWM is built, then the simulation validation of id = 0 control strategy is carried out.Then this paper gives out the hardware design of PMSM servo system based on Freescale DSP-MC56F8346 and IPM in detail., and it is successful to debug the system of hardware.At last the software based on C language is written by Codewarrior, which realizes the speed and current close-loop control. The flow chart of software is given. The experimental results based on the design of hardware and software show the correction and feasibility of the design.
