Research On Construction And Operation Management Models For Expressway Service Area

With the continuous development of our national economy and the constant increase of the expressway mileages in recent year, the expressway service area, as an important part of expressway, has also won its unprecedented development opportunity. However, with the continuous rise of the people's living standard, the construction and operation management models of existing expressway service area cannot keep pace with the times. Making well the construction and management for expressway service area is either the requirement of the expressway operation and management system itself or an urgent desire of all the drivers and passengers.Combined with the construction and operation management status of the expressway service area of our country and on the basis of service area investigations and information references, this paper summarizes the construction and management experiences of current expressway service area and analyzes the operation issues and the reasons.The models for construction and operation management against the expressway service area are mainly discussed in this paper. As for the construction model, detail descriptions are made from determination of design concept, location selection and function deployment to distance arrangement and design scale. As for the operation and management model, starting from its characteristics, concept and basic task, this paper makes reasonable analysis of the internal management and operation for service area and gives some opinions. Through the research on the construction and management models, optimization of the construction concept, summarization of the construction experience and raise of the management level, the market competition mechanism for expressway service area is introduced in order to promote the sustainable development of expressway service area.
