The storey isolation technology is one kind of new Seismic Isolation Technology extends from the base isolation technology. It could be provide new design idea for the seismic of offshore structures,the reinforcement of old buildings and other important structures, and it could be by rebuilding the interlayer and Heat Preservation and Insulation Layer of original structure to reduce seismic response. Compared with Traditional method of seismic design and the Base Isolation Design , this kind of seismic isolation has virtue of convenient operation,Low cost,high economic and social benefits, consequently it is concerned by engineering researchers and designers increasingly. The thesis emphasizes on the isolating effect of the tall building with podium structure designed using the method of storey isolation.Firstly, the thesis analyses the mechanism of base-isolation and the Mechanical Properties of the laminated rubber damping bearing in theory, Secondly Dynamic time history equation of the isolation structure is derived under horizontal earthquake action by storey shear model. In order to expound the isolating effect of the tall building with podium structure designed using the method of storey isolation. In the thesis ,take a high building with 12 floors tower and 3 floors podium as an example, get the change law of Seismic response and Results The dynamic performance of structures with interlayer seismic isolation in different conditions through numerical simulation analysis by Finite Element Analysis Software.The research results show that the laminated rubber damping bearing increase the natural vibration period of High-rise Building with podium structure,prolong the fundamental period of structure effectively and increases the differences between the fundamental period of structure and the characteristic site period ,thereby achieve damping effect. The isolation layer of base-isolated structure give full play to its large deformation and dissipate the earthquake energy under horizontal earthquake action, makes the deformation centralize on isolation layer and inhibits horizontal earthquake action transfer to the superstructure, decreases story drift,the storey shear force,acceleration of the superstructure markedly, the superstructure moves horizontal with the isolation layer, therefore the seismic damage of horizontal earthquake action to the superstructure greatly reduce.
