Lighting energy consumption in the electricity does not occupy a small proportion; the development of efficient lighting products is an important way to electricity-saving lighting. With the rapid development of the information technology and network technology today, people bring up a higher demand in intelligent lighting and the diversity of lighting functions, intelligent lighting system came into being. It makes good use of the technology of computer, electronic and communication and combines different lighting devices to get efficient control and management. The use of intelligent lighting systems maximizes the power-saving lighting. Digital dimming electronic ballasts play a key role as actuators throughout the intelligent lighting systems. This paper chooses DALI intelligent lighting system put forward lately in lighting industry as research objects, based on the understanding and analysis of communication protocols, a digital dimming electronic ballast is developed.This article analyzes the development history and current status of electronic ballasts at first, and a design goal is proposed for the existing shortcomings of electronic ballasts. With understanding the principle and features of fluorescent lamps, as well as analysis and research the main topologies and dimming ways of electronic ballasts, the foundation for the design of the follow-up is laid.DALI protocol is a new opening standard in the field of the intelligent lighting, which is put forward by some Europe's leading lighting manufacturers. It has flexible and low-cost advantages. This paper detailedly analyzes the application area, structure, electrical and communication specification.Based on the deep understanding of electronic ballasts and the DALI protocol, the digital dimming electronic ballast based on DALI has been designed, focusing on power factor correction circuit, control circuit and the lamp ballast output circuit unit, state feedback circuit. The three-state-feedback mechanisms of electronic ballasts are elaborated in this paper; separate design of electronic ballasts is proposed and implemented. Because the traditional DALI intelligent lighting system has two defects. One is the too small control scale, and another is it's difficult to achieve remote distributed control. A DALI-based intelligent lighting system is built. |
