With the rapid development of economy, the golden time of highway development is coming in our country. However , in recent years , the damage of pavement becoming serious , especially for rutting damage. The asphalt mixture with skeleton dense structure has won increasing reputation by pavement engineers because of its good pavement performance. So ,it is very important to research formed regulation of coarse aggregate in asphalt mixture and improve asphalt mixture high-temperature stability.Based on the AC-16 asphalt mixture, through analyzing shortcoming of evaluation index DS , it was found that the dynamic stability index was fitter to evaluate asphalt mixture high-temperature stability. In the condition of density state , using uniform design method and analyzing large amount of experiment, the result indicates that the 4.75—9.5mm coarse aggregate is the most sensitive to the DSI,d60 , the other factors is 16—19mm,13.2—16mm,9.5—13.2mm coarse aggregate. Based on the standard of d60<2.5mm,or DSI>700.0 , it was distinguished the excellent scope and ordinarily scope of skeleton performance in asphalt mixture. In order to control departure phenomenon of aggregate curve caused by produced from the agitating machine and insure the excellent quality of asphalt mixture , the robustness mothed which concludes SNR function was introduced to analyze robustness of different aggregates . The SNR function which contains SNR(d) and SNR(x) provide academic guide and quality safeguard for producing asphalt mixture .
