| Asphalt mixture is a kind of nonlinear viscoelastic material, which mechanical properties are correlated with ambient temperature. Asphalt pavement will be working under the freezing point and the high temperature environment. In this paper the proper gradation has been selected on the base of gradation design and gradation test. And then the multilayer elastic system theory is employed to analyze the pavement response and confirm the main deformation of high temperature in pavement structure. Through the rutting tests at different temperatures and loads, the paper analyzes the influence of severe climatic conditions and traffic conditions on permanent deformation of asphalt mixture. The paper analyzes two indexes of rutting test: dynamic stability and relative deformation and through rutting test the critical temperature has been put out. Through modified Immersion Marshall Test at different temperatures and different air voids , the paper presents some betterment measures on Immersion Marshall Test. At last, the paper analyzes the characteristics of asphalt temperature shrinkage and then calculates the temperature stress through the analytical solution and the finite elements method (FEM). |
