Consolidation test is the method to study on one-dimensional deformation of soil. The indexes of the consolidation test can be used to determine the soil compression and calculate the settlement of foundation. In this paper, K-zero consolidation of the unsaturated undisturbed loess is studied using K-zero consolidation apparatus, which is the confined grading loading consolidation, the continuous loading consolidation, stress relaxation and infiltration by Chang'an University. There are standard K-zero consolidation test (the grading load K-zero consolidation test) and uniform strain K-zero consolidation test. The behaviors of unsaturated undisturbed loess are studied on the base of K-zero consolidation test, such as the strain and time, the axial strain and stress, the void ratio and axial stress, and the secant modulus. The relationship between axial strain and stress can be described with hyperbolic curve, and that of K 0~t curve. The value of K-zero is proposed on the base of the consolidation test from Xi'an Metro Line 2. The comprise of the indexes of two K-zero consolidation test, show that the continuous loading K-zero consolidation test is suitable to actual conditions, and the results are same to that of strain K-zero consolidation test. The time of is less than that of the standard K-zero consolidation test, and can be better applied to the project to practice.
