| In the urban traffic network the intersections are the"bottlenect point"of road network capacity. And the arterials are the main body in road network and the key factor which guarantees the normal operation of the city's social and economic activities. The conflicts between pedestrian Mid-block Street Crossing and vehicle portrait traffic in the section of the road cause the increment of vehicles'delay and pedestrains'danger. According to the linear-control system, this can deduce vehicle general journey in the main road. Based on the linear-control system, this paper studies on this problem by add to the horizontal interferences.With the development of our society, the rapid increase in vehicles leads to seriously traffic jam. Most cities of our country are using the traditional single control system, which cannot meet the need for the city traffic any longer.The A3 signal control system which had been developed by Jingsan Institute was introduced to Yingbin Road in Xi'an. Compared to the traditional single control system, this system has improved, but it does not accord with the situation of our country. So it still cannot solve the traffic jam in Xi'an.According to the situation of our country, this paper analyses non-vehicle such as pedestrian influence on traffic stream and researches traffic signal optimization about the horizontal interferences. This paper figures out the horizontal interference coefficient by trial and optimizes this system. It will improve the traffic ability of artery, to optimize the signal period and green-time-rate on purpose of minimum traffic delay, and to optimize phase of each cross in linear-control system.This paper simulates the control optimization with horizontal interferences'amendment on the Yingbin Road by Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 program, and contrasts with the former situation. It makes theoretical and practical sense on solving the traffic jam in Xi'an. |
