The heavy tamping replacement method on the silt and the silt clay has been involved in the technical code for ground treatment of building (JGJ79-2002) and some professional technical specifications. In the area of coast and soft soil, it was widely used in many domestic and foreign engineering projects . Some reports and papers have shown that the heavy tamping replacement method was mostly used in the engineering projects that the request of the ground bearing capacity wasn't too high and the soft soil was near the surface layer.The heavy tamping replacement method of soft soil has the characteristics of quality reliability, simplicity of operator and high economic efficiency. So, many engineers and professional experts are interesting in this method. With the different of the ground conditions and the engineering requests, the heavy tamping replacement method also different. Under the special environment conditions and the special engineering requests, the widely and deeply research on the construction of dynamic replacement was needed.The heavy tamping replacement method are barely reported in the references and the engineering projects on the deep foundation pit with silt.In this paper, the earth replacing and heavy tamping replacement method was used, based on the engineering geological condition of the second main workshop of Baoding Fengfan Storage Battery Co.,Ltd. after the detailed analysis and the research, In this project, it needs to research how the heavy tamping method was used to treat the deep foundation pit with the silt soil layer. The name of this research project is"The application of heavy tamping replacement method in the ground treatment of the second main workshop of baoding Fengfan Storage Battery Co.,Ltd,". The research process includes: feasibility study, general progress of construction, approximate calculation, construction design, construction technique, construction organization, construction, and test.The research was used in the engineering project of the second main workshop of baoding Fengfan Storage Battery Co.,Ltd,. With the ground treatment of the heavy tamping replacement method, the test shows that the deep foundation pit with the silt soil layer was strengthen, and the ground bearing capacity, the settlement and the differential settlement was satisfied with the requirements of the structure.The practice shows that the heavy tamping replacement method can solve the problems on the ground bearing capacity and the deformation of the deep foundation pit of silt soil. The economic and social efficiency is remarkable, so it can save the station construction investment.
