With the fast development of our country's economy, freeway in China has stepped into a booming phase. By the end of 2007, the mileage of our country's freeway has come to 53 thousand kilometers. Highway is the carrier of the vehicles, and the quality of highway alignment directly influences security of vehicles, and it's even worse in western mountain areas. For the sake of complicated topography and geology, and special environment, it's more difficult for alignment design, and long and steep continuous longitudinal slope will be there. Because operation speed is the result that alignment indexes affect, it will be of very great value for long and steep continuous slope to research the consistency of operation speed. This thesis summarizes the safety problems of freeway in our country, researches and application situations of slope and operation speed at home and abroad, expounds the concept of design speed and operation speed and the quality in highway design evaluated with the consistency of operation speed, ascertains evaluating drive security at long and steep continuous slope with operation speed. At first, long and steep continuous slope is classified to steep slope and flat slope by unit. This thesis, based on the method and principle of operation speed compatibility in Guidelines for Safety Audit of Highway , combined with related theory of highway alignment design, deeply analyzes assembly design of alignment at long and steep continuous slope of freeway in mountain area, evaluation of speed compatibility. Then, according to simulated speed datum from autoSim Simulilator, taking mathematical statistics software spss as tool, the thesis analyzes operation speed characteristics in different types of combination of curve and slope, and establishes multiple regression model of speed at mid-curve and starting speed and curve at sag curve section. Comparing simulated speed and ground speed, this thesis obtains the model of simulated speed and ground speed, and evaluates operation speed consistency at K144+101~K150+041 section in Ya-Lu freeway with that model, then achieves the goal of evaluating design alignment with simulated speed.
